PUBLIC NOTICE
UPDATE TO BURN BAN – EFFECTIVE JUNE 25, 2025
The Full Burn Ban issued by the Town of Winnipeg Beach is lifted effective June 25, 2025. However, some restrictions remain in place to ensure continued safety in our community.
The following rules apply to all open-air fires within town limits:
- Firepits must be enclosed on all sides and built from non-combustible materials such as masonry, concrete, or heavy-gauge metal.
- All firepits must be covered with a non-combustible grate or mesh.
- There must be a minimum 3-meter (9.84 feet) clearance from the edge of the firepit to any structure, fence, tree, hydro pole, or property line.
- Fireworks remain prohibited unless used by a licensed fireworks technician with a valid permit signed by the Fire Chief.
Please note:
The burning of grass, leaves, or rubbish is strictly prohibited at all times in the Town of Winnipeg Beach under existing municipal bylaws.
We thank all residents and visitors for their ongoing cooperation in keeping our community safe.
